This beach in Muskegon seems to be a fairly recent creation according to Dwight. As you can see, you couldn't ask for a better launching spot. Parking is but a few feet away from the beach and the shallow water makes it for an easy solo departure.
Tip: get there early. Parking got stupid after 11 am.
